17 Week Update and Nursery

So, I have hit the 17 week mark! Some major accomplishments recently have been that the baby is 5.3 inches long and weighs about 5.3 to 7 inches. The baby's ears and eyes are now in there proper position, the baby's circulatory system is now complete, and the baby's sweat glands are forming.

I am still feeling great! The only real issue that I have had so far is transitioning from being a hard core stomach sleeper to having to sleep on my side. Other then that I haven't had any issues with morning sickness, being tired, or even being overly emotional! Hopefully, the delivery and first few months will be as easy as this whole pregnancy thing!

So, tonight Linda (my mother in law), helped me put the border around the nursery. I have included some pictures so you may get the jist of what we were trying to do....




Darren and I also spent most of the day on Saturday at Babies R Us starting out our registry. Let me tell you...it was the most overwhelming experience I have ever encountered! There are so many products and so many name brands - thank goodness for our Consumer Reports Guide to baby stuff :)

Well, we have a doctors appointment on May 7th so I probably won't update again until then. Have a great week!

13 Weeks

So, we had a Doctors appointment on Monday and good news..we heard Baby Price's heartbeat!! It was very quite and faint. Almost like a whisper! It was probably the coolest sound Darren and I have ever heard. What an amazing miracle!
I also had the wonderful pleasure of stepping up on the scale to see how much weight I had gained. Well much to my nurses surprise, as well as mine, after 13 weeks of eating for 2 I have managed to lose (yup I said lose) a pound and a half. It is amazing that when I try to lose weight it is so hard for the weight to come off, but when I actually have permission to gain weight I end up losing it.
Other then that, Darren and I are just trying to get ready for October. Till next post.
