An early birthday present

Rowan got an early first birthday present, from Aunt Joanie Uncle Billy, Rachel, Nick, and Aunt Sue, Uncle Dan, Heather and Frankie. It's a really neat little car that he can sit in, with a handle to get pushed around. After about five minutes in the car, he decided he would much prefer to push the car around. In this video, he's pushing Kailyn around the deck at the cottage, and loving it.

Finally on the Beach!

On Monday, we finally made it to the beach. Rowan did great, wasn't really sure about the sand, or about the cold ocean water, but he could handle a little bit of both.

(almost) First day at the beach

Well, we checked into the cottage on Saturday, and planned to go to the beach on Sunday. Unfortunatly, the weather was terrible, so we were all stuck inside.

Fortunately, Rowan found lots of little girls to keep him entertained. Here he is sitting on Kristina's cousin Heather's lap, playing with Alyssa, Shannon's boyfriend's daughter.


And here he is with Uncle (sorta) Christian... who he loved. All Christian had to do was be where Rowan could see him, and there was the giant, goofy Rowan smile, every time.

Going to Connecticut

We are spending a week at the beach with Kristina's family. After driving over night so that Rowan could sleep, we spent the afternoon with his great-grandmother Minacci at her apartment. As usual, he had a great time crawling around on the floor, and trying to see what pictures and other small, fragile items he could try to destroy!

Storytime!

We went to story time at the Karl Road library today, after my days off changed. Today was bubbles and water day. After some unhappiness about having to stand in the grass, we decided it was all ok, and that we could play in the water. He had no interest in the bubbles, I tried to put him in front of the bubble machine, and he just crawled back to the water table.

Aunt Brenda was nice enough to invite us to her pool, to go swimming with cousin Dylan.

He was not happy when he first went in the pool, and dad basically had to hold him for a while. He finally went in his little spinny thing, where he was happy to let Dylan play spin the baby. He thought it was a game of peak-a-boo, first there was dad, then Aunt Brenda, then Dylan.... then dad, Aunt Brenda, Dylan again!!

We are in Connecticut this week for a Christy and Christian's wedding, and as usual, have a busy weekend planned. But dad forgot to bring the camera to Aunt Joni's house for the cookout, so we just have some bad cell phone pictures for today...
