12 Weeks

So on Tuesday I will hit the 12 week mark. Yup that rights, trimester 1 down 2 more to go. There really hasn't been anything new going on with me. The baby is now about 5 -6 cm long (2 - 2.4 inches) and weighs about 14 grams (.5 ounces). It still seems so unreal that a little baby is growing inside me.

Darren and I decided that since we had a painter coming to paint the office, that we would just have him paint the nursery as well. That meant that we had to speed up the decision making of which nursery theme to use. We decided to use the theme
pictured below. What we really love about this theme is that each block has a different texture. From what I read..that is great for babies development!

Well that is all I have to share this week. I will post again on April 2, 2007 after the next my next appointment with Dr. Teague (my OB).

11 Weeks

Ok, so I have decided to step into 2007 and create a blog about my pregnancy, as well as chronicle the developments of Baby Price once he/she is born. A large part of my decision to start this blog is because of all our family and friends in CT and otherwise outside of OH. Hopefully I will be able to conquer this crazy world of blogging and produce a wonderful scrapbook of Baby Price.

A few things to note so far to catch everyone up. Darren and I found out that we were pregnant on February 7, 2007. We had been trying since May, so needless to say we were so excited! We had our first ultrasound on March 5, 2007, where we were able to see little Baby Price. We were also able to see the heart beating which was amazing to say the least! It actually looked more like a butterfly fluttering its wings then a heartbeating. (ok...once I figure out how to post pictures I will post the ultrasound picture)

I also have been very VERY lucky as to not have had any morning or afternoon sickness. I also really haven't had any cravings either. Unless you count my current aversion to meat as a craving. I am convinced that I am going to have a vegetarian baby:)

We have also decided not to find out the sex of the baby. Now anyone who knows me a bit knows that I do not like secrets. I like to plan...for EVERYTHING...so this is going to be a huge test of my patience. Hopefully, I will be able to hold out the 9 months without to much trouble. I think Darren's cousin Ryan, said it best when he said, "As we grow older, there are not that many true surprises left in life. This is the one last true surprise. "

Until next week....
